UCAL has been fulfilling its social responsibility thereby contributing to its well being through activities like adopting a village called ‘Kadambur’, around 5 kilometres away from Maraimalai Nagar. The village was identified as a backward village after a survey conducted by the Department of Social Work of Sacred Heart College. 4 Medical Camps have already been organised in this village. Further development plans include promoting education, child and old age care activities.

In addition to this the company has also recently sponsored a Formula 3 Racing and a Blind Rally.
